Accessibility
At Gekman Law Firm, PC, we believe everyone should be able to learn about their legal options and reach us easily, whatever device they use and however they use it. That includes people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard alone, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.

Our standard
This website is designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the current international standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.2 AA also covers the requirements of WCAG 2.1 and 2.0 at the same level.
How we test
Every page is checked before it is published, and again whenever the site changes. Our testing includes:
- Automated accessibility testing of every page against WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA, using two independent testing engines, with no issues found.
- Independent automated audits by outside accessibility scanners, which report the site as meeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA (see the results below).
- Colour contrast measured on the page as it actually appears, including text placed over photographs.
- Keyboard-only use of every menu, form and interactive element, confirming that the keyboard focus is always visible and never hidden behind other content.
- Pages checked at 200% and 400% zoom and on narrow phone screens, with nothing cut off and no sideways scrolling.

An independent automated audit by getwcag.com on scored this website 100 at compliance level AA, with a pass for every standard it checks:

What we have done
- Every page has a clear heading structure and a link that skips straight to the main content.
- All images that carry information have text descriptions, and the text printed on our Spanish flyer is also provided as readable text on the page.
- Our contact forms have visible labels, explain any errors in plain language, and announce when a message has been sent.
- Our Spanish and Russian pages are marked in their own languages, so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
- Animations are kept to a minimum and stop entirely if your device is set to reduce motion.
Content from other providers
A few features rely on services we do not control. Our contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam; it normally works invisibly, without any puzzle to solve. Links to Google Maps and WhatsApp open those services, which have their own accessibility policies. If any of these gives you trouble, please call or email us instead and we will take care of you directly.
We are here to help
While we strive to meet these standards, we cannot guarantee that every part of the site is fully accessible at all times. Automated audits cannot detect every issue, and websites change over time.
We have worked hard to make this website accessible to everyone, and we keep improving it. Even so, if something on the site is difficult to use or does not work with the technology you rely on, please tell us. We will make sure you get the information you need in a way that works for you, whether by phone, by email or in person, and we will work to fix the problem.
